Catalonia is participating the the U'19 World Championships for the seventh time. Under the lead of the coaches Rosendo García and David Rúa, Catalonia achieved 5th place in the 2009 edition, the highest place ever achieved. This year the team features a combination of experienced of players who have already played in several international tournaments with several younger players who bring more pace and technique into the Catalan game. The objective is obviously to improve each year which would place Catalonia in the semifinals for this tournament, but the competition will be extremely harsh and the top places will be very hard to achieve. Catalonia has been preparing very well so hopefully we shall see some very exciting games this year.
